Cons:
Poor quality B&W, very noisy, poor resolution Having used mono laser printers for some years now and these costing about the same as this product (~$300) my expectations weren't high for the colour side of this unit. However I did expect that mono would be at least as good as my previous products (Brother & Kyocera). This is not the case. Out of the box the print quality on small B&W text (10pt Times) is poor compared with my older mono printers. After around 1500 pages of mono, I have a strip down the page roughly 1cm wide of poor quality print. Presumably the drum is going already. Additionally, the bottom half of most characters on the page are poorly printed. The colour printing is actually not too bad, but unfortunately the unit is let down by poor B&W printing. If I want to print B&W, I use one of my old trusty mono laser printers. The Samsung doesn't provide a quality that you would present to someone else. For me it's only good for drafts. Finally, this printer is very noisy. Certainly the noisiest printer that I have owned. My recommendation is - spend a bit more to get a decent printer that you'll be satisfied with.

Pros:
great price, mac compat. |
Cons:
Performance was bad, bleeds and pics are just aweful I was excited to purchase this color laser printer when it was announced. Other Samsung Color printers had been excellent and this was the first one which would be small enough for my home office. Size wise it is great, but unfortunately that is where the story ends. Performance wise it gives acceptable color text performance, but anything needing pictures, it bleeds horribly. I am returning it!

Pros:
Size, Price |

| Cons:
Poor print quality on small text, Constant paper jams I purchased this item for it's small size. Unfortunately, its performance matches its size. It looked like a perfect fit for the home office. It has trouble with small black and white text. The color isn't too bad, if I can get the thing to print at all. It constantly jams. I've tried 3 different weights of paper with the same results. Definitely not crazy about this item.

Pros:
Size, price, easy to use. |

Cons:
Cost or replacement toner. I purchased this printer a month ago and after a bit of experimenting and testing different ideas, I have to say I am happy. I didn't go into this product expecting the highest quality, it is only for home use, I guess it is a case of if you are looking to get the best results you have to open the wallet in proportion to the results you want.
It amazes me how these days people expect champagne results from something bought on a beer budget. All I can add is look at what you are doing and experiment with the printer settings, I did and was very happy with the results.

Pros:
price, quality, color laser, toners, quick startup |
Cons:
heats up, toner replacement $$$ I was looking for a laser printer after my trusted Apple LaserWriter died. I settled on Color Laser when I saw the price and quality. I had spent lot of money and frustrating hours with inkjet printers for color and didn't want the same problems, hence laser printer. I don't know about the earlier review, I found the quality quite comparable to one from office color laser from HP. I have had this for over a year now and I have used it often but not heavily at any one time. I am pleased with the color quality. I have printed photos (not on photo paper). For everyday use this is a great printer. Only negative is that occasionally I smell the drum heating up; no harm observed so far. For precaution I don't leave it running for long. By making sure the table it sits on is level, I have found this to happen less often. I would recommend this one to anyone looking for a reliable printer but they are a careful user. Its built is compact.

Pros:
Breaks down early so it can be returned to the store |
Cons:
Two printers broke down for "internal errors" After two weeks of use, my printer developed an internal error, overheated after about 30 pages and never worked again. Thinking it was a fluke, I bought a 2nd printer which also developed an internal error within the first two weeks, (overheating after only 50 pages) and never worked again. Note; Samsung's solution to "internal errors" is to turn off the machine for 10 seconds which is in vain.

Pros:
quiet, fast, great color prints! Smallest Color Laser printer in the world! |
| Cons:
none so far^-^ Okay I know everybody else on here said this printer is horrible... but compared to my old inkjet this is heaven! haha Well anyway... my old inkjet was the noisiest thing in the world... it would sound like somebody was hitting it with a bat whenever the ink cartridges moved back and forth(yes it was literally that loud)...Let us also not forget that i have had this inkjet for a long time and it is old...Also, my old inkjet was SUPER slow...it would take up to a 3 minutes for it to print a page! So i am sure you can imagine how life saving this laser printer is compared to ink! haha another thing that annoyed me about my old printer (and the way inkjet prints in general) is the fact that it printed in dots...it always looked so cheap...I am just glad to have whole colors for once^-^Also,me and my mom were annoyed that lasers were so big...we just wanted something for simple home use then we found this one that was supposedly the smallest color laser printer in the world so we decided to get it^-^ Well, long story short...if you are sick of your inkjet and want an affordable laser printer for home or personal use then get this printer. But, if you want a printer suitable for a business get a more expensive one.

Pros:
It is not the size of a small house |
| Cons:
You would do better hiring a monk! I was in need of a new printer, so I decided to go for a color laser printer. After a great deal of research (obviously not enough), I decided on this printer. It looks good enough, is not overly loud and actually does decide to print on occasion. The problem is that this printer only prints (which is sorta in the job description of a printer) when it "feels" like it. Which is not very often. The printer nearly always refuses to take up paper. I have tried several brands and grades of paper to no effect. The purchase of this printer is, without a doubt, the worst purchase decision I have ever made of a piece of technological equipment in my life. And I bought a Betamax!!!!

bad prints, and only print on cheap paper I've used may laser color printers and this was the worst one. It stalls when printing and jams when it prints on thick stock. print quality is also aweful when compared to other brands like HP or Minolta.

Pros:
Great for printing large color documents fairly quickly at a decent price |
| Cons:
Factory toner refills and waste collector are expensive I bought my Samsung CLP-300 for printing copies of my dissertation for my committee members. It was cheaper (and quicker) for me to go that route than to try to print it out using my Lexmark inkjet printer that came with my laptop and then try to print out the color pages with a separate printer. I use Office Depot laser printer paper with it and have had good results. Other than the cost of toner replacements, it has been a great printer for my useage/cost range........
