Sony MSX-M4GS Flash memory card

Product Description

The Memory Stick PRO format was designed to realize continuous real-time recording of high capacity high-resolution moving images. In addition to its theoretical maximum transfer speed of 160Mbps, a main advantage of the Memory Stick PRO format is its minimum write speed of 15Mbps as a format standard, which will enable continuous real-time recording of high-resolution moving images. Furthermore, the minimum write speed of 15Mbps will make it possible to design more reliable moving image recording devices capable of preventing data loss in the event of sudden power loss or accidental removal of the media during file recording.

The new format includes the MagicGate copyright protection technology as a standard feature providing secure protection for commercial and copyrighted content. By fully utilizing an embedded intelligent controller unit, the Memory Stick PRO format will also enable prevention of third-party access to personal data. Tentatively named "Access Control Function", the new protection technology will form the base of a high-level security system for Memory Stick networking features. As an advanced new generation media format, the Memory Stick PRO offers future expandability allowing it to evolve to bring new, exciting applications and benefits to its users.

Pros:  compatible with most sony products

Cons:  price, speed this unit is ok...I wanted the sandisk 4 gig for my psp, but best buy didnt have any, so i had to pick this up for $150 from BB...i own 4 memory stick pro duo from sony for my psp and digital cameras, i have a 32 meg which came with psp valuepack...i use the 1 gig pro duo with my w50 cybershot and 2 gig with w100 cybershot. and i use the 4 gig for my psp, i heard the speed is slower than sandisk, and it takes hours to upload movies, as i havent tried one...and ovarall it just feels good to see 3821 megs of space in the psp, the only thing i didnt like was the price,,,but i recommend this product to any psp users, as you can put demos, couple of movies, lot of mp3, pictures, game saves that will save you money on buying UMD movies or UMD music, you can simply use the ones bought from itunes store or from your collection of CDs. nice enhancement for the psp

must get product
