Pros:
Love the pics and the manual controls |
| Cons:
Manual is not the easiest to interpret I've use the 35mm film cameras in the past, so I'm use to aperture settings, f-stops and the like. This is a great camera for the money. Takes great pics. I also purchased the 18mm-200mm lens, so I'm not constantly changing lenses. I would also recommend getting a filter lens to help with protection of the actual lens.

Pros:
Excellent Quality Pictures, Very Versatile |
| Cons:
At Very High ISO, pictures come out grainy, but which camera doesn't have that problem? This is an excellent beginner's camera. I personally didn't know much about photography until I finally got a professional camera, believe me, once you go dSLR you won't go back. there are just so many features that you can use its unbelievable. From the way the buttons are layed out to the photoprocessing features you can do on the the camera is just right. Sure, this isn't a cheap camera, but it's worth every dollar. I recommend buying a UV filter for your lens, this will protect it from getting scratched and it's best to replace a $15-$20 filter than your $300-$400 lens. Its a great buy, I highly recommend it.

Cons:
none I absolutely love this camera! I was a little weary about switching to digital since I am a photographer and want my pictures to be excellent when they are enlarged. I shopped around alot before I bought this Nikon. But I have had nothing but good to say about it. You HAVE to read through the manual before using it though. That is a must with these new digital cameras, they have so many different settings and menus! For instance there are different settings for the Aperature, shutter, manual, etc. settings compared to the program settings such as portrait, action and so on. The only way you are going to get the camera to its fullest potential is to use the aperature, manual, our shutter priority settings. Only in those settings can you put the camera on vivid detail, highest saturation, etc. to make your pictures as good as they can be.
How fast the camera focuses and takes pictures depends on the lens. Nikon has excellent lenses for fair prices. Of course they can be really expensive but Nikon has come out with lenses that have Vibration Reduction, Internal focusing (which is a must), and ED glass elements for pretty low prices. I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a moderately priced semi pro camera. I think it has all the capabilities and power of a full pro camera!!

Pros:
Almost impeccable image quality |
Cons:
None really. The good: + Big LCD screen. + 10.2 mp. High resolution, sharp image, color looked better than the real world. + Very decent 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G lens that goes along. The only problem was that this camera is a bit heavy for a teenager like myself. This caused major blurriness when shot at low shutter speed. Problem can be fixed with a tripod.

Pros:
11AF, fast, correct. |

Cons:
Battery is short. Arround 1000 shot compare with 2500 shot of D70s. I owned D80 just few month ago. After used D70s, I feel that, this model is not cater as I want. So I try to get this model Some functions of D80 that I like more than D70s. * AF: Up to11 point to comapre with 5 point of D70s. * LCD 2,5" bigger and brighter than D70s * The design and located of control button is convinience. *10MP resolution is very good for almost design application, printing... I am think about model D200 or MarkIII Canon in future. But I may get some Pro Lens firsrt. Life is better with ART
