Pros:
MP3 player, many many features, small size |
| Cons:
Keypad small Just purchased this phone and so far it's the best phone I have ever owned. I was looking for a phone that would have all the features of my mp3 player so I wouldn't have to take my phone and mp3 player into my workout facility. This is the perfect phone for that purpose plus I get the bonus of an FM radio. One cool feature is when you are listening to a track and you receive a phone call the music fads out so you can take the call and then once the call is finished the music comes back on right where it left off. The sound quality is superb for a cellphone. The only drawback so far is the small keypad. If you text message alot which I don't than I can see this being difficult to navigate around without looking down all the time. Overall I would highly recommend this phone.

Pros:
Plays mp3s, the 2mp camera is decent, excellent sound, plays videos |
Cons:
Does not support a wide range of video formats, doesn't support many of the coolest games, some parts seem cheaply made I picked up the black version at the AT&T store a few months back expecting a phone that will double as an mp3 player so I don't have to carry both around with me. What I got was so much more. Not only is it really cool looking and slides with a satisfying fluidity, but it's become my on-the-go media player. It has a bright, crisp and large screen for watching movies or TV shows. Watching movies drains the battery in about four hours, I found- which I was both impressed with and disappointed by. It accepts a memory card for expanded storage space (up to 2 gb per card) and you need it- the phone only has 12mb of its own and 10 of it is taken up by the bundled trial version software and full-version fitness software. For music, it plays mp3, m4a, Real 8, AAC, WMA and WAV files. That's just about everything out there. But is has a decidedly limited selection of supported files for video- MP4 and 3GP. It would have been nice to see AVI or Flash video support. The camera is grainy in low-light (even when shooting in night mode) and when you're shooting close up. Digital zoom would be helpful as well. But it takes mid-range and distance pictures very well. When you slide it open, the keypad feels very cheap. It almost feels as if pressing the ultra-small buttons will break them. It also does not support many of the cool new games, as I was disappointed to find out. It still can play a fair number of good ones, though. Over all, this is a very good phone for the price. You may buy it for a phone and mp3 player, but you'll soon find yourself watching videos or using it to count steps on the treadmill. It does have its limitations, but for just over $200 you can't complain.

Pros:
It is everything in one |
| Cons:
predictable texting is not available.... I went from a rzr to this phone and I love it!!!! The images are so crisp on the screen. The music is great. The radio works wonderfully. I just am disappointed in the texting. I wish I had predicatble texting again!!!! My hubby loved my new phone so much that he decided to get one for himself. He is a delivery driver/sales and has no radio in his truck, so now he will have radio/mp3 right at his touch. And he wont need to keep track of his mp3 player and phone all the time. I am quite impressed with the options on the phone.

Pros:
Awesome phone with lots of gadgets |
| Cons:
Keyboard always breaks My daughter has had two of these phones within a month and a half, and the key pad on both phones have cracked. The first time u can return the phone if it is within the 1st 30 days, if something happens again then they replace your phone with a new "refurbished" phone and there is no guarantee. They will not give you your money back or back up their product. So if this has been a recent purchase of yours good luck!

Pros:
Style, ease of use, great quality |
Cons:
None! This phone is wonderful. I have the newest version out (in pink - it was just released through AT&T - & it's better quality than the 1st ones out). Here are some things I was wondering about before I got the phone: You do not have to open the slider in order to answer the phone. In my case, some people could hear the phone rubbing against my cheek,so I do slide it open, but it's not a necessity. You can customize whether you want phone to answer when slid open, end call when slide closed, etc. Phone also automatically locks so you won't make calls accidentally. The keypad is fine to me. I text a lot, and while it does seem thin, it does by any means seem fragile to me. The earphones are wonderful. And when i use them to talk, people can still hear me great. The walkman is awesome. 1 thing is that while it's open, yes, you can scroll left/right to go to the next/previous song, but you can also hit down, and it will bring up your entire playlist you have right there, if you just want to scroll down to 1 song in particular. Great! Screen is beautiful, lighted colors on side are cool. Slider is very fluid yet sturdy - I can open/shut the phone 1-handed. Step counter is cool. When I'm here at home I just put it in my pocket to count steps. There is so much more, but you can't have a long review on here! I really think this is a great phone, and AT&T now has great deals on this phone - I got mine for $79!!! I completely recommend this phone!

Pros:
The mp3 is really cool you can change between different color skins also when u get a call it fades out so u can take the call...then when the call is done it comes back on where it left off....at first it a little trickey to use cause i'm used to having my razor but you figure it out in no time.it also has a voice meassage option..instead of just having text messaging which is pretty cool to me since my last phone didnt have that...also another thing that I really like is the video editing feature...you can edit you videos the you've recorded...u can insert lettering and even put back ground music to the video...only thing is when u insert the background music u cant hear the sound of any one talking just the music...but other than that it's cool considering it's a phone... the picture editing is nice as well |
| Cons:
Well I didnt like that u can't use ur mp3 songs as ringtones...that was kind of dissapointing...since my old phone the razor was able 2 do so....also my text messaging has been givin me problems i can recieve them but I cant send them does happen to anyone else? other than that it's a good phone I also like the zoom in the camera it really get close to far away objects and the picture quality is very good... the editing feature for the picutres is nice aswell...the phone has night mode for when ur taking pics @ night or in low light but this mode isnt as good as u would think it's ok but it could be better..overall it's a great phone I got the phone when it was $129 i'm so surprised to see it went up to like 300 something.....

Pros:
MP3 player - eg. shake control, pedometer (very interesting), lots of facilities, looks great. In short: mostly everything. |
Cons:
Camera flash/ zoom when not in VGA mode, better quality video would be nice, battery life. This phone is great. I absolutely love the music player and how you change tracks when the keypad is locked. I also like the styling - very smart and sleek. I got the white version, mainly for the orange keys and because I didn't want a black phone, or a grey which is boring. The phone is very easy to use and I only had to refer to the manual for the technical 'connecting to PC' stuff. I find the pedometer a nice feature with the calorie burner, and the flashing lights on the side are definitely a plus. I don't understand the need for different sequences of flashing lights though, since all of them practically use the same colours anyway. But I've always been used to a phone having a camera flash, and the absence of it is annoying. The photo quality is quite good for a phone camera: 2MP. The quality for the video isn't very good meanwhile, but acceptable. The big problem is the battery life, because it is relatively average when I use it for calls/texts etc, but drains quickly when I use the walkman/video etc. The keys also look quite fragile. Overall, the pros do outweigh the cons (which are afterall tiny-ish things) and the W580i is, undoubtedly, a fantastic phone.

Pros:
camera/vidoe, mp3, memory card, plan coolness |
| Cons:
not sealed properly, speakers blow, keys crack, This phone is great in all categories except for quality in parts of the phone. After a bit over a month of owning the phone the speaker you put up to your ear sounds like it is blown (voice on other end sounds robotic like) The same happened with the other speaker beneath the main circular button. 2 of numbered keys cracked in haf, and i dont even text that much. Also the charger gets to not securly fit into phone after a bit of use. The main thing that is horrible about this phone is how sony ericsson stands behind their product, in which they don't at all. I sent the phone in to get these things repaired and turns out the warranty does not cover once the phone has evidence of water/corrosion damage. Which is acceptable, but i can garuntee you my phone has not been subdued to liquid, i dont even keep it in the bathroom when i shower so the humidity doesnt get to it. The suppervisor i talked to from sony ericsson said "even if you carry the phone in your pocket and you perspire, this can cause corrosion damage." Though the evidence from corrosion has nothing what-so-ever to do with the speakers being blown, the keys breaking, nor the charger not phsyically being able to stay securly in phone and on top of that the location of the evidence isn't near the damage components, sony ericsson voids my warranty. Sony Ericsson does not stand behind this phone, it is impractacle for long time useage.

Pros:
MP3, radio, internet |
Cons:
doesn't stay locked, short battery life I got this phone last week after reading great reviews. Sounds cool - a phone, radio, MP3 player all combined into 1 gadget. I purchased it online through At&T and I'm having a difficult time with it. First of all, when I go to a AT&T dealer, the sales reps don't know much about it... I've gone to 3 stores and they said it's a new phone and haven't had the chance to play with it yet. Secondly, there isn't an actual phone case so I had to get a universal. I bought the first one because it was online as well but it was to big. The second one was cheap and just wanted a cover so the screen wouldn't get scratched while being in my pocket with car keys. It worked but the phone kept getting bumped around in my pocket and would dial the last called person. I've cranked called these people more than a dozen times on accident. So I thought I needed a different phone case. I still crank call people on accident. It is suppose to be locked when the slide is closed but somehow, when the ring volume gets pushed, it automatically unlocks then alot of other people get crank calls. I even moved it from my pocket to my belt and it still gets bumped around. There isn't any way to keep it locked. Last, the battery life says you can talk for 3 hours or be on standby for 15 days. I've talked on the phone for an hour and the battery is 3/4 gone. Play the walkman feature or the radio and the battery dies faster. I have to recharge it nightly. Luckily, it only takes 3 hours to charge but it still sucks. I can't even go a full day without having to charge it.
